It started with chill winds and rain, with nothing to do and nowhere to go in the cold winter evenings after school that LVY Youth was born.
With a desire to do things differently and create meaningful things to do for young people in the Cornish town of Porthleven, this pioneering crew invented a way to create ‘pop-up’ youth clubs in spaces that were available across the town.
Together, they have designed a programme for young people of creative, sports and digital workshops led by professional artists, surfers and film-makers. These workshops require no regular building and could be sustained by their own enterprise.
By adding their own energy, ideas and with a whole load of Cornish ingenuity, they established LVY Youth: Just Add Youth.
This is not waiting for things to happen – but making it happen in your own town. This is LVY Youth: A Social enterprise.
The talented young people of LVY Youth have designed and created a fantatic range of t-shirts which will be sold at Porthleven Food Festival on the 26-28 April.
