Beyond Face CIC is a performance company based in Plymouth whose mission is to raise the profile and visibility of Black, Asian and ethnically diverse artists, young people and communities. Tomorrow they are launching their latest film- The Elephant in the Room.

The Elephant in the Room isn’t a story about a ship, or a journey to another land. This is a story about today and 6 characters who are still experiencing the impact of our colonial history, in cities that have only just begun to speak about their complex past.

Throughout the film, these characters are met with denial, reluctance, avoidance, ignorance and ultimately silence, as they figure out how to be seen and heard in a system that was never built for them. You can find out more about the film here.

The Elephant in the Room will be available to watch from 7.30pm on Saturday 17th April and will be available to watch for 7 days, so you can watch it more than once if you like! You just need to register your ticket here and a link will be sent to you from Saturday to watch.
