The DCMS and Arts Council England have launched their Rediscover Summer Campaign! Here are three ways you can get involved:

1. Get in touch…

They’re now gathering content to host online so they can share the amazing things happening over the summer. If you want your news features online and on Arts Council and DCMS channels, please share information with

Send details of (ideally free) activities targeted to young people you are running over the summer so this can be promoted and added to their pages. This should include:

– Details on the events
– Dates the activities are running
– Links to any booking or information pages

Share any content (such as video footage. trailers, montages, explainer ads) and images that you’re happy for them to add #RediscoverSummer branding to, either in the form of a logo on stills, or an endslate for video that will likewise be hosted on their channels.

2. Join in on social media…

The DCMS and Arts Council would also love it if you got involved by posting your activities on your channels, using the #RediscoverSummer hashtag. You can tag them with the following:

Twitter: @dcms @educationgovuk @ace_national
Instagram: @dcmsgovuk @educationgovuk @aceagrams
Facebook and LinkedIn: Searching for names – e.g. ‘DCMS’ or ‘Department for Education’

3. Explore the themes…

They’ll be sharing lots of content across the summer, but DCMS are also going to be focusing on six key themes from week-to-week. If your activity aligns nicely with one of these themes, please do make a note and take part:

Week 1 – Reading / 26 July
Week 2 – Creativity / 02 August
Week 3 – Sport / 09 August
Week 4 – Nature/ 16 August
Week 5 – Heritage/ 23 August
Week 6 – Community/ 30 August
