Cultural Education in Dorset
We have been working closely with Dorset County Council over the last two years, supporting them to ‘spin out’ their arts development services into a public sector mutual and turn Little Keep, Dorchester, into a creative and cultural industries hub. The Arts Development Company CIC launched in September 2015 and is now carrying forward the arts, creative and cultural education brief in the county.
Work is continuing to utilise the Cultural Education Hub hosted by WAVE and SoundStorm as one of the central foci for further partnerships working in the area, with the Arts Development Company also taking a leading role. We have been supporting the strategic development of Wave and Soundstorm via an IP and delivering a range of level 2 training for them involving a wide range of local partners. If you want to find out more about the Arts Development Company and join or attend the hub please contact Rosie Russell at email@example.com
There are some really interesting tools and data sets which are freely available – including the Arts Council’s ‘cultural education data toolkit’ – along with a range of other databases focussed on cost of interventions for children and young people, disadvantage, health and education.
