The SW Bridge Challenge Fund
As Arts Council England’s Bridge Organisation for the South West, RIO are leaders in cultural education.
Our aim is to connect young people with great art and culture and we do this in a range of ways:
- By supporting business innovation in the cultural and education sectors, leading to the development of innovative and sustainable business and operating models, and children and young people engaging with art and culture in new ways.
- Providing high quality and relevant information, connections and knowledge covering all aspects of cultural education, enabling the cultural and education sectors to then take informed and purposeful action to improve delivery.
- Driving outstanding cultural education practice in and out of school through Arts Award and Artsmark.
These outcomes are delivered through the provision of high-quality training, networking opportunities, advice, communications, consultancy, and CPD.
As the bridge, we are not a grant-giving organisation; we do not distribute money to schools, cultural organisations or artists to fund work or projects. However, we recognise that developing new forms of cultural investment and income is a critical issue for all.
